Bicycle Accident, World Champion Pool Broken Hand
Meilutyte crashed on Friday (11.09.2015) and had an operation on Monday (14/09/2015). This incident makes Meilutyte hit as he was preparing to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
"This injury healing process takes about four weeks before he was back to swim. We do not despair because it is because we still have 40 weeks to the Olympics," said coach Meilutyte, Jon Rudd.
Meilutyte impressing at the 2012 London Olympics by winning the gold medal 100-meter breaststroke at the age of 15 years. In the same year, Meilutyte also won the title at the World Aquatics Championships.
